Quick answer
Choose the Night City Edgerunners: Santo Domingo Starter Gang if you want a complete, playable gang right out of the box. Choose Edgerunners - Daring Tech only when you need one extra character to expand or personalize an existing crew.
What each purchase actually gives you
The Santo Domingo Starter Gang is a full gang in a box: nine Edgerunners miniatures plus the cards needed to field them in Combat Zone. Daring Tech is a single resin-printed miniature with its character card, sold as a one-off. The real decision is scope: a ready-to-play crew versus one addition.
That difference matters most for new players. A starter gang removes list-building guesswork because the box already contains the models and cards for a complete gang. A single miniature assumes you already have a gang to slot it into.
The trade-off between completeness and flexibility
The starter gang gives you the most table-ready value, but you commit to the Santo Domingo Edgerunners roster and its included characters. Daring Tech gives you freedom to add exactly one character to an existing collection, but on its own it cannot field a gang.
Price reinforces the same split. The starter gang is listed at USD 45.50 against a USD 70.00 comparison price, while Daring Tech is USD 6.60 against USD 10.00. Neither is a reason to buy both at once; pick the scope that matches how you actually play.
Key trade-offs at a glance
- Scope: The starter gang delivers nine miniatures and the cards for a complete gang; Daring Tech delivers one miniature and one character card. If you cannot field a gang yet, the starter box is the only one of the two that solves that.
- Commitment: The starter gang locks you into the Santo Domingo Edgerunners roster, while Daring Tech lets you add a single character to any existing Edgerunners collection. Choose the starter gang for a ready roster; choose Daring Tech to fill a specific gap.
- Best value for a new player: The starter gang is listed at USD 45.50 (comparison price USD 70.00); Daring Tech is USD 6.60 (comparison price USD 10.00). A new player who buys only Daring Tech still needs a gang, so the starter box is the lower total cost to play.
